Sheriff's Homicide Team Investigates Late Night Shooting in Patterson
Patterson, CA – On Thursday, June 13, 2013, at 11:33 PM deputies with Patterson Police Services responded to the report of shots fired in the area of Garza Park. Another 911 caller reported a subject had been shot in the 100 block of Washburn Street.
Deputies found the victim, a 25 year old Hispanic male, seated in a car with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The Sheriff's Homicide Team along with Crime Scene Investigators responded to assist Patterson Police Services personnel.
Detectives have not yet identified the suspect or suspects in this apparent gang related homicide and there were no witnesses. The victim's family members and others at the scene were uncooperative.
No further details are available at this time. The victim's name is being withheld pending further investigation.
