Compton Sheriff’s Deputies seize approximately 1000 pounds of marijuana, one handgun, one shotgun, and recover a stolen tractor. One suspect was arrested.

On June 5, 2013, Compton Sheriff’s Deputies were alerted by Aero Bureau of a Lo-Jack (vehicle recovery system) hit for a tractor-truck in the area of Compton Bl / Atlantic Ave. Moments after, patrol units located the stolen tractor-truck in a large storage yard in the area. As the deputies were searching the area, they saw a significant amount of marijuana in plain view, a loaded handgun, one shotgun, and several ounces of methamphetamine. They also saw the suspect hiding in a make-shift underground bunker. Upon executing a search warrant, deputies recovered all evidence and arrested one suspect for various narcotic and weapons charges. The investigation is on-going.
