FIRE CALL TO HOME RESULTS IN DISCOVERY OF $4 MILLION WORTH OF MARIJUANA

(HOUSTON, TX) – HCSO deputies responded to a house at the Lake Cypress Estates in northwest Harris County on Wednesday after receiving a call about a fire and possible shots fired, only to discover over 1,000 marijuana plants inside with a street value of over $4 million.

Contrary to the initial call, there was no fire but when deputies entered the house at 13511 Lindsay to check on any possible victims, they instead discovered over 1,000 marijuana plants throughout the house, including the garage.

According to investigators, the house was being rented.

No arrests were made pending further investigation by the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force, a multi-agency task force whose aim is the disruption and dismantling of narcotic, money laundering and drug gang organizations.
