US-80 / Lee Joyner Bridge first closure will begin Saturday, June 1st, 2013 and will continue through Sunday, June 30th, 2013. 
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Ouachita Parish- Lee Joyner Bridge Closure
The US 80 Bridge (also known as the Louisville Avenue Bridge or Lee Joyner Bridge) across the Ouachita River will be closed to all vehicular traffic and pedestrians for two separate 4-week periods in order to replace the main bearings on each side of the bridge. Public Notification of the bridge closure was originally posted by the contractor’s representation on May 8, 2013.
The first bridge closure will begin Saturday, June 1st, 2013 and will continue through Sunday, June 30th, 2013.
The second bridge closure will begin Wednesday, July 10th, 2013 and will continue through Sunday, August 11th, 2013.
In conjunction with the US 80 Bridge closure, a number of I-20 ramps and local streets will be closed to all traffic to facilitate traffic flow. These closures will also begin Saturday, June 1, 2013.

Restrictions – Closed to all vehicular traffic
Detour for the US 80 Bridge closure will be via LA 34, I-20 and US 165 Business.
No formal detours will be established for the I-20 ramps and local street.
