REMEMBER TO CLOSE YOUR GARAGE AT NIGHT
SYLMAR. A retired deputy sheriff was surprised early this morning (1:30AM) in his Sylmar home when he was confronted by a Black man, wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
The retired deputy grabbed a gun and scared the prowler, who was already on the second floor. The prowler left quickly, the way he came in, via the open garage.
The incident happened in the 15000 block of Monte Street. No shots were fired, and nothing was taken.
It's a good reminder to make sure you've closed your garage before you go to bed at night.
