West Hollywood Sheriff's Station- DUI/ Driver's License Checkpoint Planned for This Weekend, May 31, 2013

Thousands of Americans will die as a result of traffic collisions this year. In at least half of these fatal collisions, alcoholic beverages will be a major contributing factor. Extensive evidence indicates that it is predominantly persons who drink often and heavily that are responsible for a high percentage of alcohol involved collisions. It is believed there are approximately 41 million drivers nationwide that fit into this category-that is, the high volume of social drinkers. On Friday, May 31, 2013, Traffic Services Detail will conduct a Driving Under the Influence (DUI)/ Driver's License Checkpoint. The checkpoint will be conducted in the City of West Hollywood, between the hours of 1900 and 0300 hours.
