A citizen contacted the Grosse Pointe Farms Dept of Public Safety this morning regarding several garden statues on the property of Grosse Pointe South High School. Eleven statues were placed neatly underneath the front columns of the high school. Statues are believed to have been taken from various residences throughout the Grosse Pointe area. Many of these statues may have sentimental value and the GPFDPS would like to return the property to the rightful owners. Please review the attached photo and contact the Grosse Pointe Farms Public Safety Dept at 313-885-2100 for property recovery information. South High School will be contacted after the holiday weekend so that any video surveillance evidence may be obtained.
