Deputies arrest robbery/burglary suspects after pursuit.
On May 22, 2013 at approximately 6:40 am, Deputies were dispatched to the 4600 block of Sunland Drive, Santa Rosa regarding an interrupted burglary. The reporting party stated that two men were trying to break into his garage and when he confronted them they fled in a red Ford Mustang. Deputies arrived in the area and began searching for the vehicle. After approximately an hour deputies spotted a vehicle matching the description in the area of Stony Point Road and Arlington Drive, they attempted to stop the vehicle and the suspects fled southbound Stony Point Road at a high rate of speed.
Deputies pursued the vehicle at speeds ranging from 60 to 110 mph. The vehicle continued southbound Stony Point Road crossing Highway 116 continuing southbound. The Deputies requested assistance from other deputies, the California Highway Patrol and the Petaluma Police Department.
As the vehicle continued southbound on Stony Point Road, Officers from the Petaluma Police Department deployed spike strips on Stony Point Road near Denham Road. The suspects were able to avoid the spike strips but a short time later crashed their vehicle off Stony Point Rd, South of Petaluma Blvd North. Petaluma Police Officers performed a Police Intervention Technique with their patrol vehicle, disabling the suspect vehicle. Deputies and Officers on scene then took the two suspects into custody.
The suspect’s were identified as Kelly Hall a 43 year old transient and the driver of the vehicle was identified as Noe Jacobo, 39 years from Santa Rosa.
While on scene a deputy remembered a robbery that had occurred at the Stony Point Market on May 11, 2013. He believed suspect Kelly Hall matched the description from the robbery. Through follow up investigation Hall was positively identified as the suspect in that robbery.
Kelly Hall was subsequently booked in the Sonoma County Jail for Robbery and Attempted Burglary. Suspect Noe Jacobo was booked for Attempt Burglary and Felony Evading. Hall’s bail was set at $60,000, Jacobo’s bail was set at $10,000.
