Crime Alert – Two vehicle stolen in N. Fremont this morning, both were left warming up in the driveway.
This morning, Fremont Police responded to two similar stolen vehicle reports, in north Fremont. The first incident occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. on the 4100 block of Redstone Terrace. The second incident occurred at approximately 7:20 a.m. on the 32400 block of Lake Temescall Ln. In both cases, the vehicles had been left running in the driveway with the keys in the ignition. The vehicle from the first theft was later located unoccupied in Newark.
A third auto theft was reported around 7:30 a.m., when suspects broke into a vehicle on the 37200 block of Meadowbrook Common. In this case suspects burglarized a vehicle, removed a set of keys left behind by the owner and stole a second vehicle.
We’d like to remind residents that leaving a vehicle running unattended in your driveway is very risky and always remember to remove all valuables.
