UPDATED: Suspect in 5-13 knife point robbery of store on W. 34th arrested.
***UPDATE 5-21-13***APD investigators, acting with a tip from Crime Stoppers, identified a suspect in this robbery. On 5-16-13, the Randall Co. District Attorney’s Office reviewed this case and accepted a charge of aggravated robbery against Billy Ray Humble WM 30 of Amarillo under complaint #24356. Shortly before noon yesterday, officers located Humble at a business at 1012 SW 4th. He was arrested and booked into the Randall Co. Jail on the aggravated robbery charge.

On 5-13-2013, at 10:06 PM, officers responded to a reported robbery of the Toot ‘n Totum store at 4224 SW 34th Avenue. The store employee, a 20-year old male, told officers that a man came in, made a fountain drink, and came to the counter. When the store clerk asked the man if he needed anything else, the suspect asked for a package of cigarettes. The store clerk turned to retrieve the cigarettes. When he turned get the cigarettes, the suspect produced a twelve-inch bladed serrated knife. He demanded the money. The clerk handed the suspect the money from the register. The suspect left the store and was last seen walking west. He was described as a WM age 30-35, 5 ft. 9, 155 pounds, with blonde facial hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes. No one was injured and there have been no arrests in this robbery.
