Personal Injury Crash with several Hurt in Porter Twp.

Cass County Sheriff Joseph M Underwood Jr is reporting his Deputies investigated an injury crash on Union Rd near Wayne St in Porter Twp on 5/21/13 at 7:34 am. The Deputies reported that a vehicle driven by Shannon Parker (34 Yrs old from Elkhart)was traveling South on Union Rd. A vehicle driven by Debra Herrli (59 Yrs old from Union) did not see the Parker vehicle and went through the stop sign. Parker could not avoid Herrli vehicle. Shannon Parker and 3 juveniles were treated at the scene by Porter Ambulance and released. Debra Herrli was transported to Elkhart General Hospital by the Porter Twp Ambulance for minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing their Safety belts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Porter Twp Fire Department also assisted the Sheriff's Office at the scene. The names of the juveniles are being withheld and the crash remains under investigation.
