The body of the Holdenville man reported missing by his mother earlier this week was found Thursday afternoon in Seminole County. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance with the discovery of Eric Stephens’ body on side of the road near Highway 56 and East West 1390. This afternoon, an OSBI latent print examiner made a positive identification from the victim’s fingerprints. Although the medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death, trauma to the body indicates Stephens (d.o.b. 8-2-1979) is a homicide victim. OSBI agents, Holdenville police, and District 22 Narcotics Task Force members are working to identify and locate possible witnesses, persons of interest, and suspects.
