Inmate Escapes from ECDC 
The search continues for an inmate kitchen worker who escaped from the Etowah County Detention Center (ECDC) this morning.
Justin Wade Hopkins, 30, of Collinsville, escaped from ECDC shortly after 4:00 a.m. and was last seen running toward Tuscaloosa Avenue.
He is a white male, 6 feet tall, weighs approximately 220 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. Hopkins hair is currently shaved. He was wearing tan jail pants and a t-shirt.
Hopkins was being detained on theft and burglary charges.
Anyone who sees this individual or has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Etowah County Sheriff's Office at 256-546-2825.
