The Absecon Police Department has an important message for you! Motor Vehicle Accident

The Absecon Police Department is investigatiing a serious motor vehicle collision which occurred at the intersection of North Shore Road and Faunce Landing Road at 3:27 PM. Preliminary investigation reveals that a 2004 Dodge pick up operated by 19 year old Mark Vandenberg Jr. of Absecon was traveling North on Shore Road when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a 2009 Ford pick up being operated by 66 year old George Blood of Brigantine. The collision caused injury to the front seat passenger of the Dodge as well two children, ages 7 and 9, who were seated in the rear seats of the Ford.
Both occupants of the Dodge were transported to a local hospital and the two juveniles were transported by helicopter to Cooper Medical Center for possible internal injuries.
Mr. Blood had to be extricated from his vehicle by the Absecon Fire Department.
Traffic was detoured for approximately one hour.
The accident is being investigated by Officer Micah O'hara.
