Stolen Vehicles:
5 victims reported their vehicles stolen during the shift from various locations throughout the city.

Vandalism:
We continued to field calls from victims reporting windows “shot” out. This is likely a continuation from the several calls we received Monday about someone breaking windows with ball bearings or similar projectiles. No suspect information at this point.

#046 Road Rage/Stabbing
Officers were dispatched to Mission Blvd / Warm Springs Blvd on a reported road rage incident at approximately 5:55 p.m. As officers were en-route it was learned that the victim and suspect had pulled into the 76 gas station where the suspect stabbed the victim in the chest with a screwdriver as he (victim) was seated in the driver’s seat of his car. The victim was transported to a local trauma center with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled. Ofc. Hanrahan is following up on this active investigation.

#002 Possession of Cocaine, Heroin and Stolen Property
During a traffic stop on Dunhill Drive Officer J. Harvey arrested a 26 year old adult for possession of cocaine, heroin, and stolen property at approximately 2:00 a.m..

#003 Outside Assist Report/Recovery of Stolen Vehicles
Ofc. Wilson located and recovered 2 stolen vehicles out of San Jose in the area of Horatio Ct and Polonius Cir.

#005 Stolen Vehicle/Evading Police/Posession of a Controlled Substance and Parole Violation
At approximately 9:30 p.m. Ofc Blass located another stolen vehicle at Mowry/Farwell. This vehicle was occupied (driver only) and began travelling N/B 880 from Mowry. Ofc. Blass, Ofc. Wilson, and Sgt. Tassano attempted to stop the vehicle on 880 however, the driver attempted to evade. Officers pursued the vehicle N/B 880 for approximately 2 miles. CHP was advised and was just about to take over the pursuit when the suspect attempted to exit E/B Tennyson in Hayward and crashed. Arrested was a a 52 year old adult male and parolee at large. He was transported to a local hospital for visible injuries and later booked at Santa Rita Jail.

#004 Outside Assist /Medical Aid
At approximately 3:30 a.m., a citizen called to report his friend accidently caught on fire on Walnut Ave near Paseo Padre. Ofc. Contrada arrived and located the male who had just removed his burning clothing. The male had visible burn injuries and was transported to the hospital. The male apparently fell asleep on a bench with a lit cigarette in his hand which came in contact with vodka he had spilled and set his shirt on fire. Documented by Ofc. Meredith and FTO Austin.
