SKETCH RELEASED IN CASE OF UNIDENTIFIED REMAINS

(HOUSTON, TX) - HCSO homicide investigators are releasing a composite sketch of a woman whose remains were found in a garbage bag last year. The hope is that someone will recognize the victim and share her identity with police.

The newly released composite sketch was developed from the skeletal remains found in a garbage bag in the 12500 block of Walters Road in north Harris County on Tuesday, October 16, 2012.

According to the medical examiner’s office, the remains are of a female about 4'7" to 5'3". The shirt the victim was wearing was green in color with the design of the cartoon character Smurfette picking the petals off a white flower. The victim was also wearing dark-colored capris pants size 5. She may be a teenager or a small-framed young woman.

HCSO homicide investigators have very limited information about the case and are hoping the public can help identify the victim and/or provide information about her death.

A photo of the clothing the victim was wearing can be found on the HCSO’s Been Missing website:
