On Monday, 5-13-13, at about 2:25 AM, officers were sent to the Economy Inn Motel at 6011 Amarillo Blvd. West on a reported armed robbery. The manager said that two black males came into the lobby and rang the bell to summon him. When he got to the counter, one of the males pointed what was believed to be a pistol at him. He was told to hand over any cash. An undisclosed amount of money was taken. The suspects then left west on foot. The first subject was described as being about 5’08”, wearing a dark colored hoodie and dark pants. The second was about 6’01”, wearing a dark shirt and dark pants. The weapon was not seen. No injuries were reported. This case is still under investigation.
