Sheriff's Crisis Negotiation Team members and Special Weapons Team deputies with the Special Enforcement Bureau (http://www.SEB.lasd.org) of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are en route to the 12200 block of 224th St, Hawaiian Gardens to assist patrol deputies.
Earlier today (Thurs, May 9, 2013) gang investigators with Sheriff's Operation Safe Street Bureau (http://www.OSS.lasd.org) went to the location to serve a carjacking arrest warrant (215 CA Penal Code). The suspect ran from the house to the back yard where he barricaded himself in the garage.
Deputies are attempting to convince the suspect to peacefully surrender.
