Report of Attempted Armed Robbery Last Night.

Attempted Armed Robbery

At about 10:40 p.m. on May 7th 2013, two men entered the businesses of New York Pizza and Taco Bell located at 4001 Santa Rita Rd. The suspects pointed handguns at the employees and attempted to rob the businesses. At one point while they were in Taco Bell, suspect 2 appeared to signal to suspect 1 and the two suspects ran out of the business without and money or property. The two men were last seen running on foot south through the parking lot toward Rosewood Drive. No car was seen associated with the suspects.

The suspects were described as follows: Suspect 1 was a black male adult, 18-20 years old, was 5’-11” to 6’-0” tall, and weighed approximately 160-170 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with white lettering “Hollister” across the chest, dark baggie blue jeans, and black gloves with yellow webbing between the fingers.

Suspect 2 was a black male adult, 18-20 years old, he was 5’-8” to 6’-0” tall, and weighed approximately 160-170 pounds. He was wearing black ski mask, a grey hooded sweatshirt, faded baggie blue jeans, grey gloves and had a black backpack or messenger bag.

A similar robbery attempt occurred during the early morning hours of May 7th at about 1:10 a.m. Two suspects with similar descriptions approached an employee of Nations located at 5321 Hopyard Rd. The suspects in that attempt were seen leaving the scene in an older white four door Honda.
