Traffic Stop Yields Over 65 Pounds of Marijuana and Two Arrests
Indianapolis, IN- Yesterday afternoon, Indiana State Police Troopers arrested two people for dealing and possessing marijuana after finding over 65 pounds of alleged marijuana in their vehicle.
On May 6th, at approximately 1:30 p.m., State Troopers stopped a 1998 Ford Expedition on I-70 EB at the 70 mm for a traffic violation. During the course of the investigation trooper’s detected indicators that possible criminal activity was afoot. During a search of the vehicle troopers located 66.5 pounds of marijuana concealed in the rear of the SUV.
The driver, Rosa Linda Villalon, 58, and passenger Raul Vargas, 31, of McAllen TX were arrested and transported to the Marion County Arrestee Processing Center without incident. Both face charges of Dealing in Marijuana (over 10 pounds) Class C Felony and Possession of Marijuana (over 30 grams) Class D Felony.
