Police Arrest Several during Compliance Checks
On April 29, 2013 the Los Banos Police Department, with the assistance of Law Enforcement personnel from the Merced County Probation Department, State Parole, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (A.T.F.) and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.), conducted probation and parole compliance checks at several locations in the Los Banos area.
The operation took place over a 7 hour time frame and the purpose was to ensure that the individuals officers contacted were abiding by the terms of their probation or parole conditions. During the operation, Officers made 14 arrests, and seized 3 firearms.
The following individuals are in custody at the Merced Main Jail:
-52-year-old Peter Noriega Sr. -Felon in possession of a firearm- Bail $100,000.00
-26-year-old Peter Noriega Jr. -Violation of probation- No Bail
-22-year-old Jose Ojeda -Violation of probation- No Bail
-19-year-old Daniel Acevedo -Violation of probation- No Bail
-20-year-old Izaac Bermea -Violation of probation- No Bail
-34-year-old Horacio Mendoza -Felon in possession of ammunition/Violation of probation- No Bail
The following individuals are in custody at the John Latorraca Correctional Facility:
-23-year-old Jose Munguia -Violation of probation- No Bail
-19-year-old Rosendo Sanchez -Violation of probation- No Bail
-19-year-old Marina Cruz -Possession of drug paraphernalia/Violation of Parole conditions-No Bail
-40-year-old Jason Timoteo -Violation of probation- No Bail
The following individuals were arrested but are no longer in custody:
-34-year-old Mauro Lopez -Immigration hold
-36-year-old Amy Jones -Violation of Probation
-18-year-old Stephen Rowel -Possession of Marijuana
-33-year-old Joshua Bosseller -Felony narcotics warrant
