The Passaic Valley Water Commission will be testing and flushing every hydrant in the Borough of North Arlington beginning on Monday, May 6, 2013. The hydrants will be flushed on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and the work is anticipated to be completed in about 2 weeks.
Customers should note that there may be some unavoidable water discoloration and low pressure at any time during the 2-week flushing period.
Passaic Valley Water Commission assures all customers that the water will be safe for use during this period; however, customers are cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes (or any other processing) as staining may occur.
