On 5/2/2013, members of the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Team observed a stolen vehicle that had been carjacked by two males with guns. 
On 5/2/2013 at about 1630 hours, members of the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Team (M.A.G.N.E.T.) observed a stolen vehicle travelling on Hearn Avenue, near Dutton Meadow in Santa Rosa.
The vehicle had been taken in a Sacramento County carjacking by two males armed with guns. The theft occurred in mid April, 2013. The vehicle was occupied by two males when it was observed by deputies.
As MAGNET followed the vehicle, deputies were able to coordinate with the California Highway Patrol and box the suspect vehicle in, stopping it and preventing a vehicle pursuit.
The driver, suspect Silvano Torres-Nunez; 19 years of Santa Rosa was booked at Sonoma County Jail. His felony charge was Possession a Stolen Vehicle and his bail was set at $10,000.00.
The passenger, suspect Randy Anthony Solares; 22 years of Santa Rosa was booked at Sonoma County Jail. His felony charges included Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Possession of Methamphetamine. His bail was set at $10,000.00.
The investigation into the carjacking is on-going.
