Anderson Police Arrest Four during Narcotics Investigation

On Tuesday, April 30th 2013, at about 10:12 P.M., the Anderson Police responded to a complaint of drug activity at an Anderson area motel. Upon arrival, officers were contacted by employees who reported drug activity in one of the guest rooms.

Officers contacted four people in the aforementioned room who were identified as 36 year old, Jamie Elaine Evans of Santa Anna California, 21 year old, Natalie Ray West of Redding, 29 year old Yolanda Suzanne Lucero of Anderson and 39 year old Gabriel Joseph Detrant of Anderson. During a search of the room, stolen property and over a quarter ounce of methamphetamine was seized.

Natalie West was arrested for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and maintaining a place where drugs are used or sold. Gabriel Detrant and Yolanda Lucero were arrested for possessing a controlled substance and Jamie Elaine Evans was arrested for outstanding felony arrest warrants. The four were booked into the Shasta County Jail without incident. Additional charges including the possession of stolen property will be filed with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.
