The Linwood Police Department has received complaints about motorist failing to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks in the area of our schools and around Memorial Field. We wish to remind everyone that it is the responsibility of the motorist to stop for anyone that is crossing a street, either in a painted crosswalk or at an intersection. Members of the Linwood Police Department will be monitoring these areas for complaints and violations. Officers may take enforcement action in necessary. We are asking for everyone’s cooperation to prevent any tragedies.
