National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Tomorrow
The Grapevine Police Department, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), is participating in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Grapevine Police Department, 307 W. Dallas Rd.
This is a great opportunity for those who missed the previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications.
In the four previous Take-Back events, the DEA in conjunction with state, local, and tribal law enforcement partners have collected more than 2 million pounds (1,018 tons) of prescription medications and they were removed from circulation.
The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposal, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications.
GPD will offer drive-thru service on the North side of the police department building, facing Dallas Rd., to Grapevine area residents wishing to dispose of unwanted/unused medications.
