1st Degree Murder Warrant issued for Anthony Dwayne Hair (B/M, 25 y.o.a) in connection with homicide on 04/22/13

Update to Original Release (04/22/13)

At this time, detectives have identified the deceased victim from the investigation on April 22, 2013 as Danny Ray McFadden (W/M, 28 years of age). Detectives have also obtained a warrant against Anthony Dwayne Hair (B/M, 25 years of age) for 1st Degree Murder in connection with the death of Danny McFadden. While this remains an active investigation, additional suspects and charges may be forthcoming.

Anthony Dwayne Hair does not have a current address, but has been known to frequent the areas of Bonnie Doone and Massey Hill. Persons are urged not to approach Hair, as he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Homicide Investigation

On Monday, April 22, 2013 at approximately 3:01 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Westhill Drive in reference to a report of a shooting. Further investigation would reveal that prior to the reported shooting; approximately 15 individuals had been attending a party at the residence on Westhill Drive. Just prior to 3:00 am, three (3) black males produced weapons and began robbing persons in attendance at the party. During the course of the robbery, one person was shot and was fatally wounded. A second individual was shot and transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The three (3) suspects fled the residence in the company of two (2) unknown black females. The suspects were last observed fleeing the scene in a white newer model Nissan sedan.

The name of the deceased victim is currently being withheld pending the next-of-kin notification. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
