(Oklahoma City) Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office investigators and Choctaw Police Department officers have arrested Angela Ann Durent (d.o.b. 04/25/1991), as the suspect from a murder that occurred in the 15000-block of S.E. 29th Street in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Durent was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center this morning around 3:30am, she is currently being held on a complaint of 1st degree murder.

Deputies received a tip about the case from an individual who saw information released through news reports on April 22nd. Detectives were able to locate Durent in Midwest City; she was interviewed and admitted to shooting the victim, James Vaughn.

Choctaw PD recovered the missing car that was taken from the victim’s property. The vehicle is being processed for evidence by OCSO deputies. Deputies also recovered the handgun believed used in the crime.

James Vaughn was found deceased near his trailer on April 22nd, after he was shot multiple times. The Choctaw Police Department responded to the scene around 8:00am on April 22nd, and called the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office for assistance.

The investigation is still ongoing at this time, but it is believed that Durent is the only suspect in the case.
