Press Release, Pierce Rd Drive-by Shooting

On 04-20-13 at approximately 1301 hours, Menlo Park Police Officers responded to the 600 block of Pierce Road on numerous reports of several shots being fired.
Menlo Park Police units arrived within two minutes of the original 911 call and located one confirmed victim who had been hit by gunfire. The victim was found in a residence on the 600 block of Pierce Road. The victim was standing outside in front of his residence when the shooting occurred. The victim is a 19 year old male who is a resident of Menlo Park. This subject had a single gunshot wound and was transported to Stanford Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses on scene advised that the suspect(s) were in a vehicle that was driving Northbound on the 600 block of Pierce Road. Numerous rounds were fired from this vehicle striking the victim, along with a parked vehicle, and a residence.
The suspect vehicle was described as a dark colored sedan, possibly a Nissan. The vehicle was last seen turning Eastbound onto Berkeley Avenue, with an unknown direction of travel after that.
This incident is being investigated by the Investigations Unit of the Menlo Park Police Department.
