DUI collision causing injury 
WHAT: FELONY DUI COLLISION AND ARREST

SUSPECT: ETHAN MICHAEL DODGEN, 25 YEARS, ARROYO GRANDE

San Luis Obispo Police and Fire Departments received a 911 call reporting a single vehicle collision into a tree at the intersection of Johnson and Orcutt. Responding Police and Fire personnel located a 2011 Volkswagen resting on the sidewalk after it sheered a tree. The investigation revealed DODGEN was driving the vehicle at the time of the collision. Both DODGEN and his passenger, a 22 year old female resident of Nipomo, were transported to Sierra Vista with minor to moderate injuries.
Investigating officers determined DODGEN was driving his vehicle while intoxicated. DODGEN and his passenger were admitted to Sierra Vista hospital for treatment of the injuries sustained during the collision. A complaint for 23153(a) CVC (Felony DUI causing injury) will be filed with the District Attorney’s Office at the conclusion of the investigation.
