MEDIA RELEASE – MARCH 4, 2013
FIGHT AT LEBANON BOROUGH HOUSE PARTY RESULTS IN ARRESTS
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III and the New Jersey State Police announce the arrest of two individuals as a result of an investigation in Lebanon Borough.
According to Prosecutor Kearns, New Jersey State Troopers responded to a Main Street address Sunday morning at 3:15 a.m. after a 9-1-1 call reporting a fight at the residence.
A gathering was taking place at the residence when an individual identified as Matthew Miller, age 22, of Lebanon was involved in an altercation with Kyle Hannah, a 20 year old male resident of the Main Street address. Miller was told to leave the home. He later returned and a fight is alleged to have escalated. The altercation also involved a 16 year old male.
All three were injured in the scuffle. Mr. Hannah and Mr. Miller were treated and released from Hunterdon Medical Center and arrested. The 16 year old was transported to Morristown Medical Center with a stab wound. The 16 year old male was in stable condition and is expected to recover.
The New Jersey State Police and Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Detectives conducted an investigation resulting in Kyle Hannah being charged with aggravated assault and weapons possession. Matthew Miller was charged with burglary and assault. Both were lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. The investigation is ongoing regarding the juvenile’s role in the altercation.
The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
