The Absecon Police Department is asking residents for any information regarding two burglaries that have occurred in the city in the past two weeks. On April 6th and April 17th two unoccupied homes were broken into and copper pipes were removed from the basements. The suspects are forcing their way into the residences and going into the basements and removing the copper pipes. The houses that were broken into are just off of Sooy Lane and east of North Shore Road. The Police Department is asking residents to keep an extra eye on any unoccupied homes. If anyone has any information on the two burglaries you can contact the department at 609-641-0667. If any residents do see anything suspicious around any unoccupied residences you are asked please contact the police department immediately.
