RAPE/SODOMY ARREST
(Etowah County, Alabama) A Glencoe man has been arrested and charged with a sexual abuse related offense, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Barry Todd Morgan, 52, Glencoe, was arrested Friday, April 12, and charged with one count of facilitating solicitation of unlawful sexual conduct with a child, one count of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, one count of second degree sodomy and one count of second degree rape, all are felonies,” states Investigator Bobby Bryant.
Morgan allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 14 year old girl. The incident took place in Glencoe.
Sheriff Entrekin says, “It is alarming that these types of crimes continue to happen against our youth. I applaud our investigators for their hard work in putting abusive individuals in jail.”
Investigator Randall Gilliland, who assisted with the case adds, “A special thank you is due to the James M. Barrie Center for Children for their help during the investigation.”
Morgan is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $100,000 cash bond.
