Motorists who use Monsarrat Ave. below Campbell Ave. are urged to use alternate routes of traffic today as Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews repair a leak on a 6-inch main work at 3114 Monsarrat Ave.
Repair of the leak, which was reported to the BWS at 5:15 p.m. yesterday, has forced the closure of the makai-bound lane of Monsarrat Ave., between Campbell & Kanaina Aves. Special duty officers are assisting with traffic .
Crews are still excavating to reach the pipe and have been able to keep a reduced flow of water running through main, which was originally installed in 1928, so all customers still have water service.
