Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews worked throughout the night to restore water service at 5:45 a.m. today to all of the affected businesses in a small shopping complex on Keolu Drive near Hui St. A 12-inch main broke yesterday shortly after 4:30 p.m., causing loss of water service to part of the complex.
Area motorists can anticipate that the current slow traffic conditions will continue throughout the morning as BWS crews work to restore the roadway on Keolu Drive between Hui and Nanialii Sts. Traffic is being contra-flowed through one of two mauka-bound lanes, as both makai-bound lanes remain closed due to the excavation work that was needed to remove and replace about 8 feet of the broken pipe.
A final update will be issued when road repairs are completed.
