Suspect Arrested for Burglary
On April 5, 2013 at approximately 11:06 p.m., Los Banos Police Officers Ramon McDonald and Kristifer Hew responded to an alarm at a business in the 1300 Block of W. Pacheco Boulevard. When the Officers arrived they found evidence suggesting a burglary was in progress at the business. The officers found an open window and learned someone had entered the business and was possibly hiding inside the office area attic.
Dos Palos Police Chief Barry Mann and his K-9 partner Scar responded to assist the Department with a search of the business. The K-9 team located 22-year-old Mario Bellinghausen of Los Banos hiding in the attic of the business.
“Bellinghausen hid in the attic trying to avoid detection; when he refused to come out, K-9 Scar was used to locate him. Bellinghausen surrendered before the K-9 was released.”
-Jason Hedden, Police Sergeant
Bellinghausen was booked into the Los Banos Police Department jail charged with burglary, vandalism and resisting arrest. Bellinghausen has been released after posting $15,000.00 bail.
