Corona Police investigate attempted homicide on 4-07-13. Suspect is in custody.
On 04-07-13 at about 1255pm, Corona Police officers were called to 805 S. Merrill Ave. in regards to an unknown disturbance. Officers arrived and located Arthur Richardson, a 44-year-old male from Corona, inside the residence. Richardson was unresponsive and had visible trauma to his head. Richardson was transported to Riverside Community Hospital where he is currently on life support.
Corona Police Detectives investigated and located a large pipe wrench near Richardson’s body. Detectives determined that Matthew Snyder, a 31-year-old male from Corona, was responsible for the assault on Richardson. Snyder had fled the location prior to officer’s arrival.
Later in the evening, Snyder was located and arrested at the Tyler Galleria in Riverside. He was booked at Robert Presley Detention center on charges of attempted homicide.
