Power outage - Traffic signals out 
A power outage has occurred in the area of Simi Valley bordered by Los Angeles Ave., Royal Ave., Sequoia Ave. and Tapo Cyn. Rd.
Southern California Edison is en route to assess the situation and locate the source. They estimate approximately 400 residential customers are affected at this time.
Simi Valley motorists should be aware that the traffic signals at the following intersections are affected and not working properly - Those along Los Angeles Ave. @ Tapo Cyn. Rd., Surveyor Ave. and Sequoia Ave. Also affected are the signals along Tapo Cyn. Rd. at Cochran St. as well as the 118 Freeway and the signal at Royal Ave. @ Sequoia Ave.
Motorists are reminded to exercise extreme caution when approaching an intersection where the signals are malfunctioning or completely out. Any "dark" intersection where the signals are out completely must be treated as a four-way stop as required by law.
