On April 2, 2013 at approximately 4:55 am, BHPD officers responded to the 700 block of North Foothill Road in response to a call of a burglary in progress. A resident awoke and observed a male suspect walking away from their residence and observed their garage door open. The caller recalled that their garage was closed when they retired for the evening. Responding officers discovered thirteen unlocked vehicles in the area which had been ransacked.

At 6:30 am, officers observed a possible suspect sitting on the bus bench directly in front of City Hall. Further investigation resulted in the recovery of property from the thefts. Timothy Alexander Johnson age 28 of Los Angeles was taken into custody for PC 459 Burglary and PC 496 Receiving Stolen Property.
