1 iNJURED IN CRASH

Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on 4-2-2013 at 0807 hrs his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash in Milton Township in Cass County in the intersection of Redfield St and Brush Rd. 51 yr old Edwardsburg resident, David Cooper, was east bound on Redfield st. when he was blinded by the sun and failed to stop at the signed intersection crashing into the oncoming vehicle. 65 yr old Niles resident, Florence Szymborski was traveling through the intersection at the time. Both parties were treated by SMCAS ambulance and MS. Szmborski was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center for further treatment. Both were using seat belts and alcohol is not a factor. This Case remains under investigation.
