Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force conducts gang saturation.

On Wednesday, March 27, 2013, the GREATER CORONA/NORCO/HOME GARDENS Regional Gang Task Force Region 8 (GCNHGRGTF) conducted high-visibility saturation patrols along with parole and probation compliance searches. The task force focused their efforts in the City of Corona and surrounding unincorporated communities where gang members are known to congregate.

As a result of the operation, Gang Task Force officers netted twenty five arrests. Fifteen of those arrests were felonies and ten were misdemeanors. Arrestees were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center. In addition to the arrests, Gang Task force officers recovered live ammunition and narcotics.

The GCNHGRGTF REGION 8 is one of eight teams encompassing the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force, which is a collaborative effort of 25 law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs. The GCNHGRGTF team is staffed with members of the Corona Police Department, California Highway Patrol, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, Riverside County Probation Department and the United States Border Patrol.
