SEXUAL ABUSE ARREST
(Etowah County, Alabama) A Gadsden man has been arrested and charged with a sexual abuse related offense, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Brian Thomas Pruitt, 28, Gadsden, was arrested Friday, March 22, and charged with one count of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old, which is a felony,” states Investigator Haydyn Hedgspeth.
Pruitt allegedly sexually abused a 9 year old girl. The incidents have been ongoing for approximately one month in the Coates Bend community.
“A special thank you is due to the James M. Barrie Center for Children for their help during the investigation,” states Investigator Hedgspeth.
Pruitt is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $20,000 cash bond.
