The NPD has an important message for you! Crime Trend Alert

ALERT: Garbage cans in left out in front of home or in driveway may be key indicator that you aren't home...

Our law enforcement colleagues at the Fremont Police Department have discovered a crime trend in the Ardenwood area of their City (near the northern border of Newark).

Recent burglaries in their city have a common link. The victim’s had not yet pulled their garbage cans from the street after garbage pickup. Suspects may be looking for curbside garbage cans as an indicator that no one is home. Please remember to bring your cans in and coordinate with neighbors if you work late or are going to be out of town.

We must WORK TOGETHER to get a handle on residential burglary so please do your part. Please share this information with your family members, neighbors and friends. If you would like to start a Neighborhood Watch in your area please contact:
