Woman charged with OWI after hitting local motel with vehicle. 
On 3/25/13, at 6:43 pm, officers along with fire and EMS units responded to the Budgeteer Motor Inn located 3980 N SR127 for a report of a car that struck the building causing extensive damage.
The building had been struck by a 2002 Honda Accord driven by 50 year old Patricia Racine of Burlington Vermont. Patricia was uncooperative with officers and could not provide an explanation of how the crash occurred. It appears Racine struck the building while attempting to park. Officers observed signs of intoxication and took Racine in for a breath test for intoxication and Racine was later arrested and booked in to the Steuben County Jail for Operating While Intoxicated.
Racine was not injured in the crash. It is unknown if a seatbelt was in use.
