SEXUAL ABUSE ARREST
(Etowah County, Alabama) A Glencoe man has been arrested and charged with a sexual abuse related offense, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“David Adam Reaves, 28, Glencoe, was arrested Tuesday, March 19, and charged today with one count of first degree rape, one count of first degree sodomy and one count of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old, all are felonies,” states Investigator Jason Argo.
Reaves allegedly sexually abused a 6 year old girl for approximately one year. The incidents occurred in Glencoe.
The sexual abuse was first reported on Monday, March 18, by a concerned citizen who suspected the abuse was taking place.
“It is deeply troubling to me that sexual abuse of this type continues to happen to our children in Etowah County,” states Sheriff Entrekin. “We will prosecute this case to the fullest extent of the law and continue to do our best to protect those who cannot protect themselves.”
Reaves is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $250,000 property bond.
