Attempt to Identify Robbery/Assault Suspects

The West Covina Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a Robbery theft and Assault that occurred on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the JC Penney store at the West Covina Westfield Shopping Center.
Two suspects, a male and female, who were with two small children inside JC Penney, began placing items from the store onto the baby stroller. The male was then seen trying on shoes and then leaving them on his feet. The two suspects headed for the upper level exit leading into the mall without paying for the items. The female suspect along with the two small children walked out first, followed by the male a short distance back. When the Loss Prevention Agent began to approach the female, the male ran up to him and punched him on his face. The male suspect chased the Loss Prevention Agent back into the store where he knocked him down and began striking him several times before running out of the store. The Loss Prevention Agent suffered a fractured nose, cuts, bruises and swelling about the face.
Photos of the suspects were retrieved from store video and are available for release. The suspects are described as:
1. Male Hispanic or White, 20-30 years old, 5’7-5’9, 165-185 lbs, shaved head, thin brown mustache and beard with distinctive tattoos on both arms. He wore a black t-shirt and black pants.
2. Female Hispanic, 20-30 years old, brown or black collar length hair, 5’2-5;5, 120-135 lbs, wearing dark framed glasses on top of her head, black sleeveless blouse, blue jeans, a small black and white striped purse, and sandals.
The female was pushing a black stroller occupied with a small toddler, and had an elementary school age female child with dark hair also with her.
