When removing snow from sidewalks and driveways, DO NOT throw it into the street. The DPW is out plowing the roads. Throwing snow and ice into the street hampers their ability to clean the roadway and creates a dangerous situation for drivers.
Anyone throwing snow and ice into street violates Section 273.11 of the Borough Code and faces a fine of up to $500.00 and possible improsonment not to exceed 90 days.
Please cooperate and place snow on your own property.
