Another briefing package is attached to wrap up the yesterday's storm and to alert everyone to the generally minor snow event expected tonight into Friday. The Executive Summary is as follows:

• Low Pressure will slowly move away from the mid-Atlantic region through Friday. A north to northwest wind will continue through the period.

• While a north wind and high seas, minor tidal flooding is possible along the coast during the next several tide cycles. Minor flooding is also possible along the backbays and lower Delaware Bay. No problems are anticipated on the tidal Delaware River, or the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

• North winds will continue through the day at 15 to 25 MPH, with gusts up to 35 MPH (perhaps 40 MPH right on the coast).

• An upper level low will bring additional precipitation to the area this evening into Friday morning. Temperatures will be cold enough for mostly snow. Two to four inches of snow is expected in the north (with the highest amounts in the higher terrain), with one to two inches in the Philadelphia metro area and adjacent sections of New Jersey. Less than one inch is expected in the south. Winter Weather Advisories have been posted in the north.
