Pleasanton Police Investigate Death at Pleasanton Transfer Station
On February 26, 2012 at 11:45am, Pleasanton Police responded to the Pleasanton Transfer Station, located at 3110 Busch Road, after an employee reported a deceased male adult found at the garbage site.
Responding officers discovered a body amongst cardboard recyclables. They secured the scene pending arrival of Pleasanton Police detectives. Per our request, The Alameda County Crime Lab responded to assist with evidence processing. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of death has yet to be determined. The preliminary investigation indicates his death may have been accidental. A follow-up press release will be forthcoming once additional information is available.
