Homicide detectives arrested Dangelo Dewayne Wilhite B/M/2-6-1993 today for the murder of Cedric Dewayane Caddell, Jr. that occurred on December 18, 2012. The arrestee is in custody and was transported to Lew Sterrett.
On Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at about 10:00 pm, officers responded to a shooting call at 10900 Goodnight Lane. Officers found Cedric Dewayane Caddell, Jr. deceased from multiple gunshot wounds to his body and head. The deceased and a witness had met four suspects at a local restaurant to purchase marijuana. During the encounter, the deceased did not believe the marijuana to be good and decided not to buy it. The arrestee and the driver of the suspect vehicle became upset. The witness and the deceased drove away from the location and the suspects followed them. The suspect vehicle passed the witness vehicle and the suspects fired multiple gunshots at the witness vehicle striking both the deceased and the witness. The witness was able to get away and call 9-1-1. The suspects fled the location. The offense was documented on case #'s 312662-Z.
